Design House Stockholm
Catalogue, 2012
In 2012 Swedish furniture and design brand Design House Stockholm celebrated its 20th anniversary, an occasion for which the company wanted to produce a publication as a give-away for friends and business partners. This resulted in a catalogue telling the story of the company so far.
It would be interesting to put the company’s contemporary products in a contrasting setting. And so we ended up renting the magnificent, late 19th century city palace Hallwylska Palatset (in its day a miracle of modern technology) in the centre of Stockholm, just a block away from the company headquarters. In the middle of the photographic catalogue writer Hedvig Hedqvist contributed an essay about Scandinavian design during the 20th century.
The catalogue was mentioned in Dwell magazine and achieved a ”design of the month” award in the Swedish magazine Resumé.
Adhesive bindning, 48 pages and cover, 230x297 mm + 24 pages, 165x237 mm, off-set.
